What's your path?

A lot of individuals float threw their college careers blindly and unaware of the inevitable future outcomes. With today’s current economic state, many individuals have incurred a very dismal futuristic outlook on what’s about to come. With our modern stock market crash scares, and the daily uneven balances of severe losses and gains, somehow we still survive. Even though, our 24-7 media giants like to throw stories and blown up opinions about our current state of affairs, our youth of this generation have not given up.

If you a person like myself, who has worked all their live, and haven’t achieved a whole lot, such as buying cars, paying off debt, buying homes & property, then maybe education has been a positive catalyst to help launch those uncertainties and fear’s off your back.

Enrolling into a traditional university and obtaining skill sets that will transition yourself into a professional, might seem like the great thing to do. Finding your skill sets and capitalizing on them is something that each student needs to be aware of. The main focus of a person’s reasoning; why they even want to embrace the colligate experience to begin with, needs to be illuminated.

There are so many distractions in our culture that want to shock and awe our audience, and potentially have hidden agendas that sometimes I feel; we forget what we are really after. What’s the point of achieving a degree? Is it our cultural norm to go to college, or was it a for sure deal – achieve a degree and be successful.

In my personal opinion, going back through your steps on how each person got to the point of where they are at now needs to be highlighted. Ask yourself; is this what I want to study? Why am I studying this subject material? Where do I envision myself in a mere 10 years away?  What industry can I see myself being a successful and happy employee?

When a student or adult figures these basic things out, I believe the foundation of a proper career can be in place.

For myself, I’ve nearly been a professional student since I broke the chains of the public education system. At certain points in my educational career, I wanted to become a teacher, an international business major and a nursing degree. Every single one of these programs is amazing ventures to embark on. However, after lack of success in a few subject matters I decided on studying Communications.

Communications is something we human beings will use EVERY day of our lives. The way we approach certain situations and thinking swiftly on our feet is some tactics that aren’t exactly taught in the classroom; and others might find this easier than others. Communication degrees also teach people how to become professional writers, interviewers, bloggers, broadcasting specialists, research analysis professionals and etc. But for me, Communications has been a perfect addition to my arsenal of talents.

But what’s next? Most of us will be graduating soon and the real world will be starring us right in the face. Are we supposed to leave our lovely university and chase down a entry-level job in an area of a field that isn’t related?

Other individuals have different cards that were dealt to them, but I am a firm believer that becoming a professional student will only provide a plethora of talents and will secure you into having a balanced and successful life.

Here is a professional article that can give each reader a unique twist on what the future might uphold.
